Search Tree

Search Tree is a small educational project exploring the Web Service features of .NET as well as Google's™ Web API. Search Tree allows the user to enter a search term and receive a desired number of search results from Google's™ web search. From this list of results users can view matching pages or choose to build a "search tree".

Building a search tree causes the selected page to be scanned for links and those subsequent pages to be scanned for links. A tree structure is then built to roughly match the linking structure between sites, relative to the originally selected site. Each entry in a search tree will also contain a keyword relevancy rating as well as a link popularity rating.

While you may find this software very useful, keep in mind that it is purely for experimental / education purposes. It is great for anyone interested in learning .NET windows forms, XML web services, or even someone just curious about where links from their site might lead. However, this software comes with no guarantee or support. In fact, you may even download the source code and modify it as you see fit.
